Steamboat Willie and Mickey Mouse are now in the public domain!

Today, on January 1, 2024, Steamboat Willie and all other Mickey Mouse cartoons released in 1928 have entered the public domain. This also means that the first version of Mickey Mouse is also in the public domain, however some trademark restrictions still apply.
